About Women of War Ministries

Women of War Ministries is a non-denominational, non-profit ministry that helps prepare people for the bumps and bruises of everyday life. Satan’s strategy is to destroy the walk of the believer, but God has prepared us for this battle through his word. In Ephesians 6, Paul gives specific instructions to wear your spiritual armor to protect yourself from the enemy and his schemes. Through the teachings inspired by the Holy Spirit, you will learn how to stand in the midst of adversity.

Brandie Kennington was called into the ministry in 2005, and God has taken her on a journey to birth Women of War Ministries. Brandie is a wife and a mother of three wonderful children, which is her first ministry. She is also the co-owner with her husband of Sonny’s Dutch Mill Restaurant. To God be the glory!

What We Believe:

The Bible: The Bible is the inerrant Word of God written by human authors under the guidance of the holy spirit. (2 Timothy 3:16)

God: There is one God who is the Creator of all things. Eternally existing in three persons : The Father, The Son, & The Holy Spirit. (Genesis )

Jesus Christ: Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of a virgin, who lived a sinless life. He was crucified on a cross for the sins of man, resurrected the third day and ascended to heaven and will return again to earth to reign as King. (Luke 1:26-35)

Salvation: Salvation is God’s free gift to man given by faith in Jesus Christ. First there must be repentance from sin and a turning away from the old life and toward Jesus Christ . (Acts 3:19, 4:12)

Holy Spirt: The Holy Spirit is the 3rd person of the trinity working to convict people of sin, and to save the unbeliever. The Holy Spirit indwells in each believer to empower and guide toward all truth. (John 14:26, 15:26, 16:7)

Spiritual Gifts: We believe that Spiritual Gifts work to edify and sanctify the church, confirming the working power of the Holy Spirit. These gifts operate fully with the Scriptures and should never be used outside of these guidelines. (1 Corinthians 12:1-31)
